Thanks to Director of Food Services, Chef Wendy Geller, for putting together this post…
Hearing the phrase “Senior Living Dining” sends most people’s mind in the direction of buffet style, bland, and colorless food. So the first question every senior living community gets asked is, “How’s the food here?”
River Pointe is proud to answer that question with our heads held high – It’s fantastic! Bold and full of flavor, and visually appealing as well.
We believe that every culinary experience is an important one, and that diners should be comfortable, with freedom to make their own choices. We also try to foster a positive social environment during the meal.
Our chefs’ creations encourage a unique dining experience in which residents are able to try new products, test menu entrees, and give feedback that keeps them engaged in everyday nutrition.
Our meals are created from scratchdaily, using fresh fruits and vegetables, and lean proteins, to ensure nutrition. Proper portions are also a priority, along with having fun and thinking outside the box. We offer a wide range of menu options, as well as simple little creations an individual just may desire that day.
Our Food Service Director, Chef Wendy Geller, has a new style of incorporating unique items into our menus. We all love our meat and potatoes, but nothing is better than taking those items to the next level. With meals served 3 times a day for many residents, we really strive to create a restaurant experience you want to come back to for every meal. Our goal is to always combine the freshest, quality, tasty ingredients that work.
Like us on Facebook and check out our website for the latest in dining news and experiences at River Pointe, such as our monthly Culinary Club that meets to discuss menu ideas and try new foods. River Pointe also offers a variety of special diets for those with concerns like: sodium, sugar, gluten, and vegan.
