Happy New Year to all of you!
In this post we’ll look back at some highlights from our November…
On Rotary Rose Day, Dean and Joann, of Welcome Home Management Company, kicked off the month with chocolate roses for all staff at River Pointe, and a big thank you for all that we do. What a nice surprise for us!
Our residents participated inoutings to Kroll’s Diner, Tru Blu Supper Club, Blarney Stone Pub, and our usual Friday afternoon shopping outings. Back here at River Pointe, Riverton Suites residents enjoyed pedicures, and sharing this beautiful snack platter assembled by our Food Services Department.
We also celebrated Donna’s Birthday. Thank you to her family for coordinating a cake and coffee hour for the whole building!
One of the most fun days was Veteran’s Day. We celebrated with a Men’s Breakfast, stories from our Veterans, and DGF Honor Society stopped by with a handmade Thank You card for each one of our Veterans. If you haven’t seen the video from that day, click below to see it now…

Later in the month we had our annual Thanksgiving Supper with resident’s family members, during which Erwin gave a heartfelt blessing, and Alex Swanson provided piano music.

Betty Lou wrapped up the month with homemade rommegrot for all attending social hour (and then some), which she purchased using her winnings at bingo.
A special thank you to Mayor Del Rae Willimans, for spending an afternoon at River Pointe. She joined us for coffee and was a wonderful listener.
We are so looking forward to what this year has in store. What was your favorite memory from 2017?
