Wednesday, March 14th & 21st @ 2:30 PM
Glyndon Room/Riverton Suites
Dining Assistant, Chelsie, will be hosting a purr-fect couple of afternoons in the month of March. For her MSUM Leadership Class, she has partnered the residents of River Pointe, and Cat’s Cradle Rescue and Adoption Center, to make fleece blankets for cats at their South Fargo shelter.
Cat’s Cradle’s Mission (taken from their website) is, “…to create a more humane and compassionate world one cat at a time.” They rescue and eventually place cats into “fur-ever” homes, and work within the community to educate how to care for ALL animals. River Pointe can strongly identify with all of these values, and is proud to be one of very few senior living communities in our area that is pet-friendly. The animals that call River Pointe home bring our days so much joy. As we know, a move to assisted living can be a stressful one, but knowing your furry friend will be joining you, makes the transition so much easier.
We are also all about finding ways to give back to our community, that utilize the unique talents and experiences of our diverse residents and staff. So thank you to Chelsie for organizing this fun and beneficial event. If you are interested in joining us for blanket-making, or would like to donate fleece, please reach out to Anna Leeby, Community Life Coordinator. If you are interested in donating directly to Cat’s Cradle, please visit their website here. They will be bringing in cats from the shelter to keep us company while we create.

Of course, we have to feature one of our own residents in this post. Here is Puddin. She is fond of flying (as in, airplane flying) with her human, Erwin. The pair of them have been through just about everything together.
